Néstor Girolami sigue siendo imbatible en su presentación en el TCR Australia, con el Honda Civic Type R del equipo Wall Racing, al ganar de punta a punta en la primera competencia del fin de semana en el Sandown Park, escenario de la sexta fecha del campeonato.
El Bebu, quien había marcado la pole position con un tiempo de 1m13s963, doblegando a Andre Heimgartner (Astra) por tres décimas, mostró el camino en la primera carrera pactada a 20 giros. William Brown, uno de los protagonistas del torneo, fue segundo, con un Hyundai i30, mientras que Jordan Cox, con Alfa Romeo, completó el podio.
"No fue una carrera fácil. Controlé el ritmo hasta que Brown llegó a ponerse segundo, ya que era más rápido y tuve que ir al ciento por ciento", comentó el Bebu.
Este sábado, a las 23.15, se pondrá en marcha la segunda prueba del fin de semana y, a partir de las 00.20 del domingo, se largará la tercera y última.
